Gold - it lines the walls, is inlaid on the floor, covers the ceiling. Jewels and precious stones are imbedded into everything. Lace and satins rest over the elaborately carved, solid red wood chair. Solid platinum bars make up the arm rests. Rubies line the edges, an emerald at the chair's back's crest. This gleaming, magnificent throne could belong to kings of old, Saul, David, Solomon, Cleopatra, Elizabeth, George. How amazing must it have been to rest among such splendor, can you even imagine the feel of the satin between your fingers, the smooth, cool gold, the smells of amber and incense wafting from silver bowls resting on top of alabaster pillars. Such greatness, such power...
And to think, this is only of this world...
God rests upon a throne, countless times more majestic, powerful, and amazing than the one I just described to you. His throne is waited on by Angels, His Power is in more than gold, more than lands and fields, herds, and wars.
And then, there is the throne of your heart...The one He desires MOST. Nothing compares to Him being on this Throne, there is no peace or power than compares to what having HIM as your Lord and the Source of all of your needs. He wants nothing more than for you to submit to His Rule, rebuke your flesh and the temptations and pollutants of the world, and all Him to be your Ruler, Him your King, and put Him and Him alone on the throne of your heart. You are to serve Him - Worship, Adore, and Follow - your KING.
God reigns over the nations,
